Travel Scholarships
We are offering scholarships to assist participants studying in Australia and New Zealand with their travel costs to CWC 2008. These scholarships cover up to NZ$300 and are intended for students who would otherwise find it impossible or very difficult to attend CWC 2008. The scholarships cover travel costs only; successful applicants will still need to pay registration fees (NZ$25 if registering by January 4 and choosing a "Sponsored Registration"). We can help arrange accommodation.
To apply, send an email to organizers@cwc.org.nz with the following information:
- where you will be travelling from,
- an estimate of your travel costs,
- a brief explanation of around 200 words describing
- what you expect to gain from attending CWC 2008 and
- why you think we should give you a travel scholarship
- evidence that you are a student at an NZ or Australian tertiary education provider.
These scholarships are partially funded by Google.
Deadlines
- Application: end of December
- Notification: early January (in time for early bird registration)
We will acknowledge receipt by email within two working days. If you send in an application but do not receive this email, please let us know as soon as possible.
