Call for Student Papers

The Computing Women Congress invites female students to submit papers describing your research or significant individual projects to a special session of CWC 2008. The purpose of this session is to recognize excellent work being conducted by CS/IS/IT students, and to offer a friendly forum for students to showcase their work and receive constructive feedback.

Submissions will be reviewed by the organizing committee of the CWC and the authors of accepted papers will be given the opportunity to present their work to CWC attendees. A volume of accepted papers will be published as a working paper of the Computer Science Department of the University of Waikato, and a copy of the published volume will be distributed to student paper presenters. The best student paper will receive an award.

Papers may include descriptions of significant projects, the results of previously conducted research, or discussion of research currently in progress. The papers may be from Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Science, or other IT-related areas.

You must state the kind of research described (e.g. fourth year honours project, postgraduate diploma, Masters, PhD), its status (planned, work in progress, completed) and whether the work described in the paper is the whole project or a part of a larger project.
