An experienced IT professional, Sarah immigrated to New Zealand in 1999 from Norfolk, England to relax into a quieter lifestyle down under. With her strong IT background she thought it would be easy to find the right job but Sarah found the New Zealand recruitment process to be extremely painstaking. Putting a positive spin on her job searching experience, Sarah developed the concept of a niche IT recruitment company, and before you could say information technology, ITManiacs was borne!

Now after four years in business and with ten full time staff, Sarah Lee finds herself owner of the second fastest growing company in New Zealand, as ranked in the 2005 Deloittes Fast Awards. The placing followed second only to the much respected kiwi brand 42 Below Vodka. Before arriving in New Zealand Sarah already had a long and colourful work history in the IT industry. Her most challenging role was helping design a new multi-million dollar order system for a huge American Toy company, Babies R Us (Part of Toys R US) based in New York. She also worked twighlight hours at Liverpool Airport, project managing the rollout of new tills and training on Point of Sale (POS) systems. Another challenging role was working for Adams Childrenswear retailer in the UK, again developing IT till systems.

So what's next? Sarah is already planning ITManiacs expansion into Wellington and has also begun testing the IT Recruitment market in Australia. Now with a successful award winning business under her belt Sarah has also realised her other dream of living a relaxed lifestyle. As far as Sarah's concerned it's the ideal balance for the modern day single mother and business woman.
