  • 7 February 2006:
    The keynote details are online. Every day at 5pm we will all gether for a keynpote talk - before we go out for a party or other social events. We got really interesting speakers this year - from Google, IBM, ITManiacs .... have a look at the Keynote announcements

  • 6 December 2005:
    Good news! The CWC 2006 has won a major sponsor. Google will be supporting the Computing Women Congress in February 2006. For a full list of our sponsors and supporters see here.

    Together with these news, we have some changes to announce: There have been changes in the timetable and the list of courses.

    Please find the resitration form here: registration form. Also, don't forget the deadline for the student paper: 16th January.

  • 26 October 2005: Call for student papers! We invite female students to submit papers describing your research or significant individual projects to a special session of the 2006 CWC. The purpose of this session is to recognize excellent work being conducted by CS/IS/IT students, and to offer a friendly forum for students to showcase their work and receive constructive feedback.
    Submissions will be reviewed by the organizing committee of the CWC, and the authors of accepted papers will be given the opportunity to present their work to CWC attendees. A volume of accepted papers will be published as a working paper of the Computer Science Department of the University of Waikato, and a copy of the published volume will be distributed to student paper presenters.
    The best paper will receive an award.

  • 16 October 2005: The Timetable is out!

    We have a really intersting mixture of courses: 15 Courses, of which 5 are long ones in the morning and 10 are shorter ones in the afternoons.

  • 6 September 2005: We are getting started for the CWC 2006!


    The Call for Lectures is out and we are awaiting your course offers.
    Come to Hamilton, New Zealand in February 2006.

    This year, we have some new features for the CWC 2006:

    • Courses run in fixed slots. This will make the timetable much simpler and easier to use.
    • We have a student presentation day! Students can present their research project. The best project/presentation is given an award!
